Evin Schneider released a new EP - Alpha Waves. Its five Electronica tracks were inspired from sweet reveries by the sea and lakes in Sicily, lake Léman of Switzerland and Cuba. The core sound of the EP is produced by dreamy synthesisers which make listeners travel far away, in a peaceful and revitalizing journey through the shores.

As a starting point to the EP, The Air uses synth drones to create a warm soundscape as well as melodic piano and guitar bringing a touch of melancholia. Then, Women introduces organic synths in order to draw an aquatic landscape. Meanwhile, Marimba and rhodes themes depict what creatures could inhabit such a world. Nu forms around two main ideas. First, a glissando synthesiser on which the listener slides easily. Second, a synth motif rising up to a climax. Syracuse is built on a slapped bassline with intricate rhythms on which soft arpeggios form a sharp contrast. As a conclusion to Alpha Waves EP, Sunofureku presents a clubby rhythm. On top of the percussion, a dialogue takes place between different thumb pianos.
